Editorial Experience
For the last several years I’ve worked as a collaborative writer, ghostwriter, and editor for Idea Architects, a book development agency that has produced thirteen New York Times best sellers. My work with authors has spanned the creative process from concept to publication. Some books I’ve worked on are The Deepest Well: Healing the Long-Term Effects of Childhood Adversity by Nadine Burke Harris and Tiny Habits: The Small Changes that Change Everything by BJ Fogg—both from Houghton Mifflin Harcourt. Most recently, I had the pleasure of working with Christiana Figueres and Tom Rivett-Carnac, architects of the Paris Climate Change Agreement, on their forthcoming book, The Future We Choose: Surviving the Climate Crisis published by Knopf. I have my MFA in Creative Writing from the University of Montana where I taught both composition and creative writing. My fiction and nonfiction have appeared in The Los Angeles Review of Books, Fourteen Hills, Poets & Writers, and elsewhere.
Branding and Marketing Experience
I have over 12 years of experience as a copywriter and creative strategist. Having worked with digital, marketing, and advertising agencies, I’ve helped a wide variety of clients bring their brand’s story to the world. My copywriting and strategy experience ranges from interactive media campaigns to old-school print collateral. I specialize in brand development and strategy work that focuses on positioning, integrated messaging, and web content. As a freelancer, I’ve worked directly with brands and also partnered with leading agencies like W2O, Spirolab, Audacity Health, and BLDG Health. With a special interest in the healthcare space, I’ve worked on accounts such as Medtronic, Juvederm, Viveve, Shire Regenerative Health, Acclarent, Seattle Genetics, and Cepheid.
